HEIDENHAIN
The HEIDENHAIN connector is a field connector for reading machine data using the DNC protocol.
Requirements
- Requires HEIDENHAIN DNC (Option 18)
- For using Secure Communication the NC must be configured with an SSH user
For DNC activation on supported controls, see the knowledge-base guide: Adding the HEIDENHAIN DNC Option 18 License.
Connection settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Host | IP address of the HEIDENHAIN machine. |
| NC Type | Type of Numerical Control (e.g TNC640, iTNC530, ...) |
| User | Username for the HEIDENHAIN SSH connection. |
| Password | Password for the HEIDENHAIN SSH connection. |
| Secure | Enables a secure SSH connection. |
Property behavior
The connector automatically subscribes to the available HEIDENHAIN properties exposed by the machine connection.
There is no manual property picker for the normal connector workflow. Once the connection is active, the connector manages the relevant machine properties itself and keeps them updated from the incoming HEIDENHAIN data streams.
Runtime behavior
The connector subscribes to the HEIDENHAIN data sources it knows about and updates the available properties as machine information, identification, status, and timing values change.
Supported interfaces
The gateway provides extensive CNC information support, including:
- Version information
- NC state
- Program information: state, name, execution stack, current call
- Channel overrides
- Errors
- Operating times
- Cutter location
- Execution events
- Host computer mode
- Operator info
